According to “Le Monde” (2 mai), a Villa of Mr. Kaufmann, designed by Richard Neutra and situated in a desert of Palm Springs, is registered in Christie’s catalogue and will be bid on May 13 at New York.
Completed in 1946, this villa is about 300m2 with swimming pool and possesses Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon (not philosopher..) and Mark Rothko. It is estimated to be bid between 15-25 million dollars.
If the exchange market will remain as present until the moment Christie opens, it would not be a bad shopping for Japanese who are searching for second house to escape from real life, or for investments… since Euro rate is still nightmare for us. Just try it!
